# ==Reading==
<p class="doc-sub">// books, ideas, and unfinished margins</p>
A small reading ledger: the latest status recorded in this vault, why each book is here, and what it connects to in the garden. A book only moves to **Finished** when I record that explicitly; no completion dates are inferred.
## Last recorded reading
### *Neuromancer* — William Gibson
**Last recorded status:** revisiting · no completion date recorded
I read Gibson’s cyberpunk classic before and returned to it as part of a trilogy reread. Case, Armitage, and Molly Millions remain an excellent route into questions about power, identity, and machines. Its atmosphere is part of the signal this site is tuned to.
### *Real World OCaml* — Anil Madhavpeddy & Yaron Minsky
**Last recorded status:** in progress · second edition
I’m using this as a study companion while learning ==OCaml==. It is a substantial, example-rich guide to functional programming, systems code, and the parts of OCaml that only become clear by writing them down. The book is available [online](https://dev.realworldocaml.org/toc.html), and the working notes are in [[Notes/OCaml - learning log|the OCaml learning log]].
## Finished
Nothing is marked finished in this vault yet. That is deliberate: this page records the reading history that is actually present, rather than filling the shelf with invented completions.
When a book is finished, I’ll add the date and a short note here before moving it out of **Last recorded reading**.
